Terms of Use Made Clear.
The terms that apply when you use the HPLD website, apply for membership, or take part in our programs and events.
Accepting these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Healthcare Professionals, Leadership and Development ("HPLD", "we", "us" or "our"). By using nextgenhealthleaders.org, applying for membership, or taking part in our programs and events, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Using our website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading or someone else's information;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the website or the systems behind it;
- send spam, malware or anything harmful through our forms;
- copy or reuse our content in breach of section 7.
Membership
Fees and payments
- Membership and program fees are shown on our website in Nigerian Naira (₦) and US Dollars ($). We may change fees from time to time; changes will not affect fees you have already paid.
- Paying a fee does not by itself guarantee membership. Your membership starts once your application is approved.
- If we decline your application, we will refund the fee you paid for it. Other fees are non-refundable once your application has been processed or your program has started, unless the law requires otherwise.
- If HPLD cancels a program or event, we will offer you a place at a later date or a refund.
Programs, certificates & CPD
HPLD certificates, reference letters and CPD credits recognize your participation and professional development.
Important: HPLD membership, certificates and post-nominals are not a licence to practise. They do not replace registration with, or the requirements of, your professional regulatory body (for example, the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria or the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria).
We may change program content, speakers, dates or formats when needed. We will let registered participants know about significant changes as early as we can.
No medical advice
Content on this website and in our programs is for professional development and general information. It is not medical advice and must not replace clinical judgement, local guidelines or the advice of a qualified professional in a specific case.
Intellectual property
The HPLD name, logo, website content and program materials belong to HPLD or are used with permission. You may view and print them for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, republish or adapt them, or use the HPLD name or logo, without our written permission.
Third-party services
Our website links to and uses services run by others, such as Telegram. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimers & liability
We work to keep our website accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the extent allowed by Nigerian law, HPLD is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or services, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid to HPLD in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Suspension & termination
We may suspend or end your membership, or withdraw HPLD certificates and post-nominals, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, give false information, or act in a way that damages HPLD or its members. Where appropriate, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You may end your membership at any time by contacting us.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, although we will always try to resolve concerns with you informally first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the effective date at the top. If you keep using our services after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
